Passing through the gates of mitosaya and going up the stairs, you will be greeted by blueberry trees. This year we produced a lot of fruit. My daughter and I diligently picked the berries throughout the summer holidays, and we ended up with a whopping 7 kilos. I was determined to turn these into a product and share them with everyone! This was the first time I made blueberry jam, but plain jam is a bit boring, so as always, I added a little ingenuity. I added elderberries, which also grew in the garden, to give the texture a subtle change from the seeds. I simmered them with whey to give it a soft sweet and sour taste.

The addition of pastis liquor at the end gives it a subtle and unique aroma, making it a jam that is truly mitosaya.

We made our first blueberry jam with great enthusiasm. I was determined to make my first blueberry jam, but as usual, I had to make it a little different. I added elderberries, again from my garden, for a subtle change in texture and seeds. Cooked with whey for a soft sweet and sour taste.
