Every year we are contacted by Daichi Farm, a strawberry producer in Onjuku Town.
"Would you mind taking over the strawberries I picked?"
Strawberries that ripened on the day will be unable to be shipped the next day. Daichi's desire to make the most of the fleeting life of strawberries and our desire to use the ripe strawberries immediately for processing and alcoholic beverages were a perfect match, and we were able to transform the perfectly ripe strawberries into something delicious.
We go to the farm with buckets in hand, chat about our recent activities, and bring cakes as gifts - these interactions with our neighbors are an invaluable treasure to us.
Due to my work schedule, I wanted to go and pick up the strawberries in the morning, start boiling them immediately, and bottle them the next day. It was like a bucket relay for strawberries.
Strawberries have never been fresher than when they were hanging on a branch until morning and were in a jar the next day.
The sharp tang of the old ginger and the mellow sweetness of the vanilla create a good balance.

Mr. Daichi's desire to make the most of such momentary life of strawberries, and our good tag team's desire to immediately use ripe strawberries for processing and alcohol make it possible to transform ripe strawberries into something delicious.
This kind of interaction in our neighborhood is an irreplaceable asset for us, as we go to the farm with a bucket, chat about what's going on, and bring a cake as a gift.
On this day, due to my work process, I managed to get there in the morning to pick up the strawberries, and from there I wanted to start boiling them immediately and bottle them the next day. It is truly a bucket relay of strawberries.

The tangy sharpness of the old root ginger and the mild sweetness of the vanilla created a good balance.
