Mitosaya Co., Ltd. will open " CAN-PANY ," an urban bottling plant that will manufacture and fill non-alcoholic beverages, in Koto-ku, Tokyo on May 9, 2023.

Designed by Hideyuki Nakayama Architects , CAN-PANY literally ensures hygienic and transparent operations, with all manufacturing processes taking place behind transparent polycarbonate walls.

In addition to our own products under the CAN-PANY brand, we are also actively engaged in contract manufacturing (OEM) and contract brand creation (ODM), and have established a system to support products from development to sales, contributing to the effective use of surplus agricultural raw materials and the business expansion of small manufacturers such as bars and restaurants.

This business will serve as a model for new manufacturing facilities, supporting the creation of a creators economy in which anyone can become a creator, and providing Factory as a Service (FaaS), which allows factories to be used as a service.

In terms of product development and manufacturing, Toyo Seikan Co., Ltd. , Japan's largest can manufacturer, will provide support for the introduction of the latest manufacturing equipment and provide technical support, and the company will work to create products using aTULC cans, which have a low environmental impact.

In terms of product development, we will work with producers from around the country who have collaborated with the mitosaya herb garden distillery, as well as talented chefs and bartenders, to produce original non-alcoholic cocktails (mocktails) and RTD beverages.

Additionally, a shop and a drink-in space called the "Drink Bar" will be set up at the entrance of CAN-PANY. In operating the Drink Bar, we will work with restaurant management professionals, WAT Co., Ltd. , to operate a restaurant that provides high levels of satisfaction, aiming to create a place where producers, processors, and consumers can naturally come together and further develop new beverages.

1. PRODUCTS

- We create compelling products in a beautiful, functional and hygienic factory where all manufacturing processes are visible through transparent walls.
・We manufacture non-alcoholic and low-alcohol beverages using high-quality ingredients and raw materials cultivated at the Mitosaya Herb Garden Distillery.
・With the cooperation of Toyo Seikan Co., Ltd. , Japan's largest can manufacturing company, we are able to manufacture high-quality products with assistance in introducing the latest manufacturing equipment and technical support.
・We have adopted glass bottles, which have excellent recyclability, and aluminum cans , aTULC (Aluminum Toyo Ultimate Can), which are excellent for protecting the environment.
・We create environmentally friendly products with minimalist labels and packaging that eliminates waste.
・JUNERAY , a writer active in a wide range of media, freelance bartender, and flower designer, will be appointed Chief Recipe Developer and will develop recipes for CAN-PANY original products and OEM/ODM products.

2. OEM/ODM/Consignment manufacturing/Collaboration

・We will develop original collaborative products in collaboration with producers, bartenders, chefs, etc.
・We provide one-stop service from processing to manufacturing, shipping and sales, enabling small-scale contract manufacturing (OEM) and contract brand building (ODM).

3. SALES

In addition to online sales, we will handle a variety of sales methods, including wholesale and retail sales and event stalls, taking advantage of our location in central Tokyo.
・We will also engage in a variety of sales promotion methods, such as installing dedicated vending machines, hosting pop-up shops, and sponsoring events.

4. SPACE / Space Use

・A "Drink Bar" will be set up at the entrance of CAN-PANY, which will house a food and beverage space with a sales booth. Release events, experience events, and other events will be held there.
・We will operate restaurants with high customer satisfaction in collaboration with WAT Co., Ltd. , a professional restaurant management company.

JUNERAY

A writer, freelance bartender, and flower designer active in a wide range of media. Since 2018, he has studied under Haruo Kenmochi, Chief Technical Advisor of the Japan Sommelier Association, and is a certified wine expert, SAKE DIPLOMA, and Craft Beer Association certified beer taster from the same association. He is a full member of the Japan Sommelier Association. In addition to his work as a writer, he also works as a sake brewer. Previously, he was a florist and bartender, and has written many articles about sake and flowers.

Designed by Hideyuki Nakayama Architects, CAN-PANY will literally operate in a sanitary and transparent manner, with all manufacturing processes taking place behind transparent polycarbonate walls.

In addition to in-house products under the CAN-PANY brand, we are also actively engaged in contract manufacturing (OEM) and building contract brands (ODM) to build a system that supports everything from product development to sales, effectively utilizing surplus raw materials from agricultural products and expanding business for small-scale manufacturers such as bars and restaurants. We will also contribute to the expansion of the business of small-scale manufacturers such as bars and restaurants.

In operation, CAN-PANY will collaborate with WAT Corporation, a professional restaurant management company, to provide a highly satisfactory restaurant operation, aiming to create a place where producers, processors, and consumers can naturally meet and further create new beverages.
