Starting this fall, mitosaya plans to open the grounds to the public every weekend, allowing visitors to wander freely. A new shop will also open on the premises, and reservation-only tours of the grounds and distillery will also be available.
To celebrate the new mitosaya, a collaborative event called "Tenoshima: Enjoying the Blessings of Autumn" will be held for three days from October 12th to 14th in collaboration with the Japanese restaurant "Tenoshima" in Minami-Aoyama and the mitosaya Herb Garden Distillery.
For this event, mitosaya visited Tenoshima's hometown, the remote island of Teshima in the Seto Inland Sea, to collect seaweed and island plants, while Tenoshima explored the local ingredients of the area where mitosaya is located.
We would like you to experience the rich blessings and fascinating people we have encountered on Teshima, in the Seto Inland Sea, and in Minami Boso through our food, sake, and tea.
There will also be a photo exhibition titled "Sleeping Island" by photographer Kentaro Kumon, which features photographs of the lush natural environment of Teshima and its daily residents, as well as an exhibition and sale of works by Teshima Island Garden, a Teshima-based pottery company that makes pottery from the island's soil.
In addition, the new mitosaya shop will sell all products as well as limited edition items created by mitosaya and Tenoshide especially for this event.
Please come and spend some time with us, experience our feelings for Teshima, and appreciate the beauty of mitosaya this season.

To commemorate the new mitosaya, the Japanese restaurant “Teshima” in Minami Aoyama and the mitosaya herb garden distillery will hold a collaborative event “Teshima: Enjoying Autumn Blessings” for three days from October 12 to 14.
For this event, we visited together the remote island of Teshima in the Seto Inland Sea, home of Teshima, to collect seaweed and island plants, and to explore the local ingredients of Isumi, where the mitosaya herb garden distillery is located. We would like to invite everyone to taste the rich blessings and fascinating people we encountered on Teshima and in the Seto Inland Sea in the form of dishes, sake, and tea.
We will also have a photo exhibition of “THE SLEEPING ISLAND” by Kentaro Kumon, a photographer, who took pictures of the rich climate and daily inhabitants of Teshima, and an exhibition and sale of works by “Teshima-jimaen,” a pottery company based in Teshima that makes pottery from island clay.
In addition, the newly established mitosaya store will sell all of their products, as well as limited edition products made by mitosaya and Teshima for this event.
We hope you will spend time with us and experience our passion for Teshima and the beauty of this season's mitosaya.
