Mitosaya is based in Otaki Town, Isumi District, Chiba Prefecture, and is engaged in a variety of initiatives under the theme of "giving shape to small discoveries from nature", including cultivating and nurturing plants, and producing and selling distilled spirits and food using local resources.
We are currently looking for new staff to join our team.
This recruitment utilizes the "Regional Revitalization Cooperation Volunteer (receiving organization commissioned type)" system. Although moving to Otaki Town is a prerequisite, as a member of the mitosaya team, it is a very meaningful opportunity to create new value that utilizes nature and local wisdom, and to work on highly public projects that involve the local community and the environment.

We are looking for people to take on these two roles. We are looking for people who want to take on new challenges with mitosaya while making the most of their respective expertise and individuality.
1. People who face nature and give it shape
You will research and discover natural resources such as plants and fruit trees that lie dormant in the region, as well as the wisdom and techniques that have been passed down since ancient times, and cultivate and manage them on the mitosaya site and in cooperation with local producers. Furthermore, you will be involved in product development that utilizes these resources, as well as planning and implementing experience programs.
Main business activities:
- ・Research and interviews on plants, fruit trees, herbs, etc. cultivated in the region
- ・Cultivation and growth of plants, fruit trees, herbs, etc.
- ・Planning and running nature experience programs
- ・Planning, prototyping and developing food, beverages and products that utilize local resources
2. People who communicate and deliver the appeal
Your role will be to edit and disseminate information about local resources, wisdom, and mitosaya's initiatives in an appealing way. In addition to PR on social media, the web, events, and media relations, you will also be involved in the creation and management of shops, restaurants, and other on-site facilities.
Main business activities:
- ・Information dissemination through social media, websites, videos, publications, etc.
- ・Planning and running study groups, workshops and events
- ・Product sales and distribution support (e.g., collaboration with EC and wholesalers)
- ・Planning and operating shops and dining spaces inside and outside mitosaya

Otaki Town, Isumi District, Chiba Prefecture (mitosaya herb garden distillery and surrounding area)
Recruitment conditions
No experience or qualifications are required, but we welcome candidates with expertise or practical experience in any of the following fields:
- ・Agriculture in general
- ・Plant cultivation and gardening
- Food development
- Editing and Public Relations
- ・Creating space
- ・Customer service, etc.
We would love to work with people who can think for themselves, act, and take the initiative in their local community.

Start date: July to September 2025 (negotiable)
Ending date: End of March 2026 (can be extended up to 3 years)

Treatment/support:
- ・Remuneration: 250,000 yen or more per month (varies depending on experience and achievements)

This recruitment uses the "Community Revitalization Cooperation Program (host organization delegated type)" and requires relocation to Ōtaki Town. As a member of the mitosaya team, you will engage in meaningful work that creates new value from nature and local wisdom and contributes to the public good through regional and environmental initiatives.
This time, we are specifically seeking people who can:
- Engage with nature and give it form
- Communicate and deliver its charm
We are looking for individuals who are ready to take on new challenges with mitosaya, bringing their own expertise and unique personalities.
1. Engaging with Nature and Giving It Form
You will research and natural uncover resources such as local plants and fruit trees, as well as traditional knowledge and techniques, and work with local growers and the mitosaya property to cultivate and manage them. You'll also develop products and experiential programs that make use of these resources.
Main Responsibilities:
- Research and interviews related to plants, fruits, and herbs cultivated in the region
- Cultivation and care of plants, fruits, and herbs
- Planning and operation of nature-based programs and workshops
- Development of food, drinks, and products using local natural resources
2. Communicating and Delivering Its Charm
You will edit and share the stories of natural resources, local wisdom, and mitosaya's activities through various media. In addition to public relations through SNS, websites, events, and media, you'll also help with on-site operations such as our shop and food & beverage services.
Main Responsibilities:
- Information sharing through SNS, website, video, publications, etc.
- Planning and operation of workshops and events
- Sales and distribution support (including EC operations and wholesale)
- Planning and operation of shops or drink/food spaces on and off mitosaya premises

Ōtaki Town, Isumi District, Chiba Prefecture (mitosaya Distillery and surrounding areas)
Requirements
No formal experience or qualifications are required, but we especially welcome those with experience or expertise in the following fields:
- Agriculture / cultivation of plants
- Food product development
- Editorial or public relations work
- Spatial / shop design and creation
- Customer service
We are looking for people who can think and act independently, and work with the local community as proactive members of the team.

Relocation Requirement:
Must be able to move from an urban area to Ōtaki Town. (Please refer to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications' list of eligible “urban areas” for the Community Revitalization Cooperation Program.)
Activity Period
Start Date: From July 2025 onward (negotiable)
End Date: March 2026 (up to 3 years of extension available)
Continued employment or independent entrepreneurship afterward is also negotiable.

- Monthly salary: From 250,000 yen (based on experience and skills)
