mitosaya薬草園蒸留所には見上げるほどの大きなエルダーツリーがあります。今年はたくさんの白くて可愛い花をつけました。日々、咲き始めたものから摘み取って、集めたら結構の量。早速シロップに活用しました。園の庭で育つ薬草を数種選んで加え、エルダーのマスカットに例えられる爽やかさに、薬草の複雑で鮮烈な香りをブレンド。mitosaya の庭らしいシロップになりました。

炭酸水やお水、お湯などお好みのものに希釈して。ヨーグルトやアイスクリーム、お菓子のソースとして。ビネガーやオイルを混ぜてドレッシングとしてお楽しみいただけます。

At mitosaya, we have a towering elder tree that reaches high into the sky. This year, it was covered in an abundance of delicate white blossoms. We carefully harvested the flowers little by little as they came into bloom, and before long had gathered a generous amount. We immediately transformed them into a syrup, blending the elderflowers with several herbs grown in our garden. The elderflower's fresh, muscat-like aroma is complemented by the complex, vibrant fragrance of the herbs, creating a syrup that truly reflects the character of the our garden.

Dilute it with sparkling water, still water, or hot water—whichever you prefer. It also pairs beautifully with yogurt, ice cream, and desserts, or can be mixed with vinegar and oil to make a fragrant salad dressing.
