秋になると満開になる金木犀。今年の気候の影響か、雨の少ない時期に咲いてくれたので、ずいぶん長く楽しむことができました。参加者さんを募っての金木犀の花の収穫は毎年の恒例行事。みなさん夢中になって摘んでも、採れた花を見ると、あれ、こんなに少ない！と遠い目をされます…。そんな苦労をして採れた花は貴重なものです。大切に様々に活用させていただきました。

その一つがこの最もシンプルかつ一番香りを楽しめる方法として、はちみつに漬け込み見た目に美しい瓶詰め。はちみつは大多喜産の非加熱のはちみつを使用して作りました。香りの移ったはちみつを楽しんでいただくのはもちろん、お花もそのまま召し上がれますので、秋の景色をイメージしながらお菓子の飾りなどにぜひ活用してください。

Every autumn, osmanthus trees burst into fragrant bloom. This year’s dry weather allowed the flowers to last longer than usual. Our annual harvest, joined by local participants, always brings joy and surprise — so many blossoms picked, yet so few in weight. That’s what makes them so precious.

We preserved their delicate scent in the simplest and purest way: by infusing them into raw local honey from Ōtaki. The result is a beautifully golden jar that captures the essence of autumn. Enjoy the scented honey itself or the edible blossoms — perfect for desserts, teas, or simply savoring with a spoon.
