2025年から本年にかけてmitosayaのボトルのアートワークを担当する平山昌尚の油絵の作品を、発色の美しい風呂敷に仕立てました。モノクロのドローイングの印象の強い彼ですが、このシリーズは歴史的な名画を彼なりの視点で再構築した作品で、今作のモチーフはマティスの「ダンス」。製作は、京都の老舗風呂敷メーカーである山田繊維にお願いし、生地選びから染色技法まで細かく打ち合わせを重ねながら出来上がった風呂敷です。

風呂敷としてはすこし小さめのサイズなので、ボトルはもちろん、お弁当やご贈答品を包むのにちょうど良いサイズ。スカーフとして巻いてみたり、結び方でバッグにしたりと用途は様々です。鮮やかな色を季節の始まりにお楽しみください。

An oil painting by Masanao Hirayama, who has been responsible for mitosaya’s bottle artwork since 2025, is translated into a vividly colored furoshiki. Known for monochrome drawings, this series reinterprets historical masterpieces through his own perspective; this piece is inspired by Matisse’s “Dance.”

Produced in collaboration with Yamada Sen-i, a long-established furoshiki maker in Kyoto, the cloth was developed through careful selection of fabric and printing methods. Slightly smaller than standard size, it is ideal for wrapping bottles, lunch boxes, or gifts. It can also be worn as a scarf or tied into a bag. Enjoy its vivid colors as a marker of the changing season.
