2024年9月14日より、DIC川村記念美術館にて、ドイツ在住のアーティスト・西川勝人氏による展覧会「西川勝人 静寂の響き」が開催されます。
西川氏は、デュッセルドルフ郊外にあるインゼル・ホムブロイヒ美術館の設立に参画し、現在もその美術館内にアトリエを構える日本人アーティストです。
mitosayaが目指す場所を考えるとき、真っ先に思い浮かぶのは、広大な敷地に建築やアート作品、野外彫刻、アーティストのスタジオ、レジデンス施設が点在する、来自然とアートが一体化したインゼル・ホムブロイヒ美術館での体験です。
もう一つのインスピレーションは、DIC川村記念美術館の、豊かな自然と作品のために作られた建物や空間が織り成すダイナミックな展示体験です。特にモーリス・ルイスの展覧会には感銘を受けました。
今回、光栄にもそのDIC川村記念美術館で開催される西川氏の展覧会に合わせた商品開発の依頼を受け、mitosayaとCAN-PANYでは、西川氏の作品やドイツの森で感じた自然の静けさと穏やかさをイメージした特別な飲料とキャンディスを制作しました。
これらの商品は展覧会の会場でお楽しみいただけます。
また、11月23日には、mitosayaの江口が参加するクロストークも開催されます。

From September 14, 2024, the Kawamura Memorial DIC Museum of Art will present “Katsuhito Nishikawa: Serenity in Stillness” an exhibition by German-based artist Katsuhito Nishikawa.
He is a Japanese artist who participated in the establishment of the Insel Hombroich Museum in the suburbs of Dusseldorf, and still maintains a studio in the museum.
When thinking about mitosaya aims to go, the first thing that comes to mind is the experience at the Insel Hombroich Museum, where nature and art come together in a vast site dotted with architecture, artworks, outdoor sculptures, artists' studios, and residency facilities.
Another inspiration is the Kawamura Memorial DIC Museum of Art, a dynamic exhibition experience that combines the richness of nature with buildings and spaces created for artworks. I was particularly impressed by the Morrice Louis exhibition.
We were honored to be asked to develop products to accompany Nishikawa's exhibition at the Kawamura Memorial DIC Museum of Art, and mitosaya and CAN-PANY created special beverages and Kandis inspired by his work and the serenity and calm of nature felt in the German forest.
These products will be available at the exhibition.
There will also be a crosstalk event on November 23 with Eguchi of mitosaya.
This will be a rare opportunity to experience the Kawamura Memorial DIC Museum of Art, which will regrettably be closed with this exhibition, so please come and visit.
